The issue if you did that would be that you'd run out of threads on the bolt before the head of the bolt actually tightened down on the flexplate and the flexplate would just be wobbling around in the unthreaded shank area of the bolts. It would be super obvious if you tried to assemble it.I was wondering if the shoulder on the flywheel bolts would leave you with a bolt head raised above the surface of theflexplate if you used the flywheel bolts on a flexplate
I wouldn't see the extra length being an issue as the holes are drilled all the way through the back end of the crank
