A-520/555 driver's side mount needed

I scored a sweet deal on a 523 for my 89 Daytona. It didn't come with a driver's side mount. I've read that the stock one wouldn't work anyway because Chrysler changed them for 90. I am looking for a driver's side trans mount for an 89 down Daytona with a 520/555. Chrysler P/N 4471303.

No, the driver's side mount that goes on the end of the trans. My Daytona is currently an auto, I'm switching it to a 5 speed, and the driver's side mounts are different.

Nevermind, for some reason, I was thinking I lived in the UK or something, and confused which side was which, lol

So I'm guessing I'll need to steal the mount from my 88 520 J Body for the 523 swap into my 89.

Yep. In 90 Chrysler completely changed the mounts, and they won't work in the 89 down bodies. I learned that while collecting parts for my swap. Luckily, I found that out before I bought a mount. You still have to do a little clearance grinding on the earlier mount to use with the later trans, but it's minor... The mounting bolt pattern is the same.

BTW, I do have a mount coming, so I am no longer looking for one. Mods can close this thread if they want to...

the driver's side , trans mount, is only different between auto and stick in the L bodys

daytonas used the same mount for auto or stick trans - no more mirror image mounts like you're used to in your L body

from what I've read you will need to grind out one of the bolt holes on the mount it's self to fit your new trans as they moved 1 hole ever so slightly

I think maybe it's the top front bolt hole that dosen't quite line up

Are you sure? According to the parts manual, they are different. Manual trans mount is P/N 4471303, auto is 4471085. I should know in a few days. I'm supposed to receive the mount in the next couple of days...

it's one of the things I noticed when I changed body lines from L to G when I started working on my first daytona way back when , after I quit my turismo

To close the book on this thread, I wanted to make sure this was put out there. The driver's side mounts are different between an auto & 5 speed car. I have attached a picture since I'm doing my 5 speed swap this week.

See below. Left mount is for the 5 speed, right is for the auto:
