    Need MT conversion parts

Going to be swapping my LeBaron over to 5 speed. Need the following:

    Clutch/Brake pedal assembly (Acquired)
    Clutch cable (Acquired)
    523 Shifter and cables
    Flywheel (Acquired)
Pre 90 J/G body manual console trim ring (Acquired)

And anything else I would need. (But I think that pretty much covers it)

I may have a clutch pedal setup, 89 is the same I think.

I have the pedal and cable (and the cable bracket too I think). I can't remember if you have to change the whole pedal bracket, or if the clutch pedal pivot just bolts into the side of the original. I'll have to look.

I also have a 555 shifter, I think it's the same as the 523 but I'm not 100% sure on that.

    555 is different.

For the pedal, need the whole assembly, as the brake pedal has to be changed to the smaller version.

I have the shifter and cables for a 523 trans out of a 93 Daytona. I would be interested in swapping even up for a set of cables and shifter for a 525 transmission for a Daytona or LeBaron.

Do you mean 520? 525 was rod shifted, not cable.

I do not have any 520 cables, but I do have a few 520 shifters lying around we can work out a deal on. LMK

525 was only rod shifted in the L-body's. All others were cable shifted.

Ok, I guess you learn something new every day, lol
Part numbers are different, but the diagrams between 525 and 520 cable shifters look the same. Will they work?

They should. The 525,520,555 all used the same basic shift mechanism on top of the trans. The change came with the 523/568.

Well, I haven't had much luck, so I took my 88 back from my brother to steal parts from. It'll be getting parted out shortly. But on the topic of a manual swap, I seem to recall manual transmissions having pilot bushings in the crankshaft, but can't seem to find one aftermarket. Did our cars not have them?

    Nope. TM's don't have them.
