LED Interior and Gauge Cluster lighting

I'm looking for advice (L body in this case) for LED interior lighting. I recently purchased a LED dome light and I currently have the gauge cluster out of my car. I would like to replace the 194 bulbs (14 of them I think) with LED.

    What sizes fit?
Should I get green LED's and remove the blue condoms?
Should I get white LED's and leave the blue condoms?
Which LED's are dimmable? That is a necessity for me, as I like to sleep on long drives.
Anyone have a part number or link that they are happy with? There are SOOO many brands/types/price out there I don't want to learn the hard way.

    Thanks guys!

The condom's are only 99% effective anyway.

I got just what you need.

I used the 194-5x5050 leds for the cluster illumination. They are dimmable. I ordered white, and since they are true white, it makes the illumination appear blue (this is on MeanMini cluster) due to the slight blue tone on the inside of the cluster. These 194-5x5050 led are only avail in the colors listed (no green).

I used the 194-4x3528 SMD led for the cluster blinker signals and the high beam indicator. I don't know if they are dimmable.

I've had excellent luck with superbrightleds.com for this kind of stuff. I've had their blue WLED-x5 bulbs in my Neon cluster for close to 10 years now. In both cars, I have their WLED-x6 bulbs for all the indicators (turn signal, high beam, check engine, brake warning, etc).

Im runnning cheap Ebay LEDs in my dash with no problems and spent a fraction of the cost for buying from some large online retailer for probably the same product.

These are the 194 style bubls I used. Not really dimable, but not bright enough you would neeed to dim them

Same issue on the Duster- The cluster is painted light blue on the inside. I have a spare cluster and was going to experiment with different paint hues to get the desired results.

Used some cheap LED's off Ebay and they dimmed just fine, was like $5 for 10 shipped so how can you go wrong?

Re: LED Interior and Gauge Cluster lighting

I've used www.superbrightleds.com before also with success for other bulbs and I've recommended them. I have their bulbs in the exterior signals and stops.
I've tried some cheaper possibly ebay 194s in the cluster previously but was not happy with them. They were not bright enough and not dimmable. They created some dimly lit areas. They were single led.
These are the ones, and can't recommend for cluster:

Re: LED Interior and Gauge Cluster lighting

i got the cheap ones from ebay (5x5050 smd) white ones are kinda dull blue, but the green are just right in the boost gauge, cluster is brighter than stock but not as bright as the boost gauge

used these in the heater controls but hard to install ended up breaking a a bulb socket and 2 leds
green t5 wedge 3smd- lights up exactly like the boost gauge

Re: LED Interior and Gauge Cluster lighting

It was a bit more of a project than simply replacing the bulbs,
But I like the idea I cam up with for the cluster lighting:

I added an edge inside the cluster,
and mounted a strip of LEDs to it.

    Nah, no dimmer.
I'll actually be wiring it to key on voltage. So, it'll always be on.

The LED lighting and incandescent lighting don't play well together. lol
So, I didn't wire the LEDs into the interior/cluster wiring.

    Thanks for the compliment.
