I'll jump start the car this weekend and find out. Haven't had time to do anything to it for oh, about 10 months now.

Reeves is running a different backing plate, so the sensor mounting is different, but otherwise his car and mine are using the same type of setup:

I'm assuming the reason you put it on the rear because you don't have to worry about them spinning?

Exactly. The goal is controlling boost by speed, and if you lose traction on the front, measured speed increases and boost increases along with it, making the problem worse. The rear-wheel speed sensor eliminates that problem.

I then slid it out of it’s case. Just some minor trimming where the old speedometer was. Drilled two holes and used the original basket clamp to make a holder for the naked gauge. Pressure from the L body face holds it in place, although I may put just a bit of silicone on it just to keep it from vibrating out of position. I soldered the connections to the back instead of using the push terminals that came with the gauge. 1 reason is because I wouldn’t have trusted the integrity of the push terminals, and the 2nd reason is because I would have to do a lot of trimming for them to fit.
The gauge comes with a remote mount “Reset Trip” button. No joke it fit perfect where the factory reset trip mechanical button was. I just had to trim the black piece behind it ever so slightly with a step drill.
Still have quite a bit of wiring to finish up, but hopefully by the end of this week I’ll have a working electronic speedo and no more speedo cable too close to header.

    NICE !!

I know that line of gauges , I have the oil temp and volt set for my truck

one thing , the orange K car pointers I've mentioned before on the rest of the stock gauges would make everything look a little more oem

also , if you compare them to the inovative gauges they match pretty well except for the trim ring looking different

judgeing from the lettering on the gauge faces they may well be from the same maker / supplier

They gauge cluster lights I got are dimmable for sure. Work great. I removed the blue condoms from the gauge cluster so that the white light shines through to better match the speedometer. The gauge cluster lighting still has kind of a green hue for some reason. The speedometer lighting (built in) is pure white. They don’t match exactly, but it’s fine with me. Also, the speedometer doesn’t dim at all. Once you get the dimmer knob down to a certain spot, the light(s) in the speedometer just go out. The instructions say that a dimmer is available and provides a part number. I may look into that option before Drag Week. See current pics (taken at SDAC)

We wanted to try out the Boost vs Speed table in the logic module. We needed a way to get a good speed input without the wheels spinning. We first tried a GPS based module, and while it was very accurate, it failed to update fast enough. So we (Warren Hall and I) came up with a setup for the rear wheel using a proximity sensor and a machined hub. See pics. This is what is feeding my LM and new speedo.
We tried the table a couple of times with not so good results so far. The logic module boost control is still not working properly.

I got to take a peek at this on the showfield at Carlisle. I can't believe how clean this conversion ended up. Nice work James!

Ordered mine yesterday. James, I'll be calling to ask a few questions probably.

Can you identify which wire on the LM you tapped into?

This one on the red connector?

    9 G7 22 WT/OR* Speed/distance sensor signal

Tap in and then what? Just follow the instructions to calibrate the speedo? If so, sounds super simple! Can't wait!!

Jon, what do you need a speedometer for? Why not just have a display that shows the pulses and do the calculation in your head?

I got a dimmer switch for the led's in my gauges off ebay - sorry I don't have a link

green factory dash lighting is a product of blue bulb shades + a hot yellow elliment in the light bulb

    yellow + blue = green

Hmm, I swore I posted my response to this. Yes, my LEDs dim with the stock dimmer switch.

Reeves, did you use the glass or the bezel at all? Mine arrived today, but it was damaged on the glass and the trim. But if I'm not going to have to use it, probably not going to send it back.

I'm reading, but not sure I see where the other wire for the trip/program button goes? Diagram only shows and mentions one wire, but there are two. Where did the "other" wire go?
