Beauty! How many miles on that original timing belt?
38,000.
So what color are the headlight bezels? I always thought they were satin black on these cars and I've only ever seen old and busted omni's. Mine are chalky black if that's even a color.
The above car also looks like the ground effects are body color too.

The ground effects and headlight bezel/grille aren't body color. Semi gloss black maybe. How much refrigerant should this thing have being converted to 134?
That obviously the bolts lossened up on and advanced itself like 8-12° . Either that or timing belt was originally installed a tooth off and had to compensate to run correctly. So hows it run, lots of bottom end and lays down as RPM's increase?. Should repair that while you're at it too.

I haven't really driven it. I'm kinda hesitant to mess with it. I think the aux gear is a tooth off as well because the distributor is turned a lot. I just marked everything and put it exactly how it was. The bolts were really tight and i don't see any marks where they would have slid.
It's not mine so I'm not worried about it lol.
As for freon to R134 should be about 24 to 26 ounces
Something interesting he told me. The grille is a cheapo non GLH grille that he painted. He removed the original and put this on. The paint is damn near perfectly matched. He used Krylon indoor/outdoor paint. I want to say semi gloss black. He tried like 4 different brands of paint. I went and bought a NOS non GLH grille and am going to do the same thing as well as paint my headlight buckets.
That sounds good. I have a non GLH grill that I was planning on using as I have one good glh grill and one nos in the box. Semi gloss sounds about right and I'll do the same and do the headlight buckets so it all matches.
Thanks for the info.
