Okay, here's the deal. I used to be active in the turbo Dodge scene, but have not been for the last 8 years or so. I still have my '87 Shelby Z that I had thoughts of converting to 2.4L 16V + possibly RWD. But I've realized that I just don't have the time and energy. Those of you who have been around since the glory days will probably remember me from this forum, "the other" forum and the SDML mailing list. I was at 3 SDAC events as well.
So I have an '87 Shelby Z. In its current state it ran a 14.3 @ 101.5mph quarter mile on street tires.
Hopefully have the car go to someone that's going to keep it as a car (as in, not part it out). I realize it's up to the buyer to do whatever he or she wants with the car, so I won't have a problem with whatever they do with it.
I realize I don't have a piece of paper with my name and such in the pictures, but I already took them all before I saw that I needed that. If you really need it, I'll take one with the car and the piece of paper. I've bought and sold TD parts before, so there might still be some people around here that will vouch for me. If you don't trust me, that is. Look up my previous post history to get an idea of who I am if you want (turbododge, sdml and here).
It has (off the top of my head, in no particular order other than as I remember):
T-tops (with factory storage bags)
2.2L 8V TII engine. Forged rods and crank. Might have a cracked ring land on a piston, as it smokes a bit blue at WOT.
'87 ('88?) 555 5-speed tranny, Edit: Has chromoly bearing retainer plate installed.
16" x 6" pumpers
Eagle Talon BOV
Flange for "D-valve"
AC removed
3" exhaust (no cat), w/stainless downpipe and stainless polished muffler
Stock TII turbo with the larger stock swing valve (2.5"? It's been so long I can't remember what's what)
Large front mounted NPR intercooler w/2.5" piping
Large (11.5"? Again, I can't remember) brake package from '89 Daytona Shelby
+40% Mopar injectors
3 bar MAP sensor
Custom ECU calibration
Manual radiator fan override button (the AC button on the HVAC controls)
FWD Performance stainless braided turbo oil and coolant lines
VDO Boost gauge
LED oxygen sensor gauge mounted in tach.
Enthusiast drivers seat
Braided stainless steel brake hoses
Functioning parking brake (at least it was when I was driving it. I rebuilt the entire parking brake system).
Pioneer head unit. Plays MP3 from CD (no USB)
Infinity Kappa speakers front and rear
Custom made hitch (!)
The clutch is getting worn, as it will occasionally slip at WOT
No headliner in the car, but since it's a T-top car, there's really not much headliner to begin with.
Edit: Eibach progressive rate lowering springs
Edit: Euro-spec headlights with H4 bulbs
The parts:
15" polished egg shell wheels x 4 (with tires, but tires are worn out)
'89 555 tranny with blown spider gears Edit: Has chromoly bearing retainer plate installed.
'91 523 tranny in good shape
'89 2.5L block with crank. I blew this 10k miles after building it. Crank was turned -.010" on both main and cam journals, and should be okay still. It has been sitting for over 10 years, though.
'91 5 speed shifter and cables.. Probably pedal setup as well (can't remember)
Daytona tail lights
'89 Daytona Shelby gfx + rear spoiler (3 pcs)
'91 Daytona Shelby nose piece
Headlights with pop-up motors from for Daytona
+20% Mopar injectors
3 TI radiators
Spare set of T-tops
Brand new master cylinder for the Shelby Z (with the big brakes) in box. Nothing wrong with the one that's on the car, just had this as a spare.
2.5" exhaust system that was on my '88 Lancer ES. No muffler, gutted cat with pipe welded in.
+ a bunch more that I can't remember.
As you can see in the pictures, there's a few rust spots developing on the car. I also believe the driver's front brake caliper might be dragging a bit.
Lots more pictures here: http://www.tehpear.com/DaytonaShelbyZ/
I'm probably forgetting stuff, so if you have questions, just ask.
