Great day racing, nothing broke and all we did was put on new Dunlop Durezza's (200 is the minimum treadwear rating) and a new set of Hawk Blue brake pads and we are ready to go for tomorrow's race. Since our 'Locos Gringos' team won the last round at Thunderhill raceway, we were impossibly penalized with laps and demerit points. In theory, it's a great way to keep a few high buck teams from running away with the series. It works I suppose, just chaps yer arse when your team is the ones being punished
We started laps back in 26th (out of 31) and fought our way to 6th (and even after accruing a 4 minute penalty that cost us 2-3 positions because one of our drivers passed the fire/safety truck towing a disabled car off the track). Nothing broke, we didn't trade paint with any cars, and we used up 4 tires and about 40 gallons of fuel over 236 laps. I may have a new favorite experience, I've been doing the 4 20minute sessions in a day 'track experience' stuff for years but REAL PASS AT WILL racing is like those track experience days on crack! Bitchen to say the least! I may build a chump car. Whoa! Like I need another project
.
Sgt Craig, Greg talked about you at length today, he really, really likes you Bro! I mean, I don't judge, I live in Cali, what two close friends do in the privacy of their own homes is just fine with me
He says my Mini Woody is way cooler than yours even tho you have gone a little bit faster in the 1320. There are more ways to measure a car right? He did take into account that MATS was my very first track outing in Woody after having him running for like 6 hours on the new motor... I offered to have my Brother drive out to the track this evening with his plasma cutter, I'm pretty certain that I could cut way about 150-200 lbs of unnecessary interior sheet metal from our race car, Mr Smith was talking about crumble zones and surviveabilty in a crash. If you talk to him soon, can you ask him to pull his skirt down? His girlparts are showing with that kinda talk
I'm gonna have a shower, a steak, and go check out the local night life in this town of Ontario CA, heck, I may even get a few hours of sleep before tomorrows race.
Oh and this 71 240Z is the most beautiful Chump car the world has ever seen! Phenominal.
