    knock sensor smec electronics

now that i finally have the stratus 2.4 long block back together i am working on all the time consuming bracketry, sensors, wiring, etc. i'll be using a smec ecu and harness. have a few questions...

    1) what did swappers do with the knock sensor? did you use the 2.2/2.5 and put it in the stock 2.4 location or did you relocate it?
    2) what did you do to the cal knock sensor readings?
    3) what is a good cal to start off with? i found a couple old ones rob had done a number of years ago but wondered if there was something more "current"? ROB?

I have a 2.4 base cal that I use. I can send it to you if it's not in the .zip with T/SMEC (it should be, I think).

I have mine in roughly the same location as the stock 2.2/2.5. It's behind my intake manifold, right into the block.

I'm a bit embarrassed to say, but I can't remember whether I'm using the 2.2/2.5 or the 2.0/2.4 sensor.

They are close to being the same. The 2.4 has a dedicated ground though and 2 wire connection.

In case you still didn't find it, I put it in Post #1 of the T/SMEC thread for anyone to use...

If that's the case, I'm definitely using the older 2.2 knock sensor.
