    60 divided by 21 is 2.86 rounded up to the next whole number

    61 divided by 21 is 3.05 directly.

    54/53 is almost directly 1:1

    3.05 will give a bit more pull off the line, 2.86 will do (slightly) better in the economy dept as the engine won't be spinning as fast in a direct stock to stock comparison. That being said there a lot of variables that come into play. TC stall speed, TC clutch if applicable and tire size all come into calculation as well.

    4 u sure you counted the transfer gears correctly? Your seem to be missing a couple teeth in quantity. Most 413's I know of have .91 52/57 gearset or 1.06 56/53. Both totaling 109 teeth. Even the early VW with the 1.22 gearset had 109 teeth. Yours seem to be at 107. What year and application is the tranny from?
    Assuming you have 3.05 with 1.06 transfer set. That will make it a overall 3.22/3.23. That is a pretty deep gear for a street car. Great for acceleration, not so great for mileage. I hope it's not in an l-body that has a short 22-23 tall tire. If so you will be around 3500 RPM or more going down the interstate.

    The tranny was built by Relentless Performance years ago. I am going to be using it in my daytona race car seen here ;

    Some of the later A413's, have different gears. I have some 1.06's and 1.04's. I think my current setup is around 2.6ish final drive. I've tried higher and also the .91 gears and didn't really notice any difference around town or on the freeway. The converter made most of the difference in rpm and daily driving.

    So yeah, you need to mix and match or try to find some 1.22 transfer gears.
