    88 CSX-T Turbo 2

Looking at an 88 CSX-T. Actually owned it for 1 day last fall but couldn't resolve the title problems here in Florida. Still available and may have title issue solved. Has T2 set up. What should I look for since it was a T1 originally? Drove nicely, very comfortable ride. Missing dash plaque. Have to look at vin to find out what # it is. Missing wheel caps and some trim. Thanks.

The basic conversion on an 88 CSXT to a T2 would include the radiator/intercooler assembly, addition of charge temp sensor to the intake, and the T2 SMEC. Unless the bottom end was swapped or worked on it probably still has the T1 (lightweight rod, cast crank) setup there, but that's how the 87 CSX's came, so not terrible unless you plan to build it up.

email the VIN to jt@sdac.org and I can let you know what umber it is.

The correct P body radiator and intercooler have mounting ears on the sides and are unique to these cars. All other models radiators and intercoolers will require fabricated mounts.

There were less intercooled P bodys than other models, mostly 1987 & 1989 CSX so finding the correct ones can be difficult.

If not concerned about looks just add the sensor to the intercooler plumbing, I have done this on a few cars.
