    Too many wires in harness?

I am in the process of refurbishing my harness and using a pinout diagram that I got from oldschoolhotrodder.com (THANKS!!!!) I can see that my SBEC has fewer/different wires than are noted on the SBEC pinout description. I was hoping some of you could provide input as to why this is.

    Here are the differences:

Pins that are not present, but shown on the pinout diagram:
    21- ATS
    26- Serial Buss B+
    46- Vehicle distance sensor

Pins whose conductors are a different color than noted on diagram:
    11, 12- shows BK/TN on diagram, is LB/RD
    29- shows WT/PK, is WT/OR
    34-shows TN/RD, is DB/OR
    54-shows LG/WT, is OR/BK
    56-shows LG/OR, is GY/PK

    Thanks!

State what year car and harness and sbec you have and maybe someone here has an actual manual who can post the correct pins and colours in question.

Wire color substitutions can happen if mexico/thailand/china ran out of the correct wire and had to use another one to get it done. There (should) normally be a small flag label affixed to the wire at either end with the intended color and tracer (if applicable).

Sorry; I should have included that... I have a 1990 Voyager with a 1990 SBEC. The SBEC is original, but has been socketed.

Anyone have the bulkhead connector pinout diagram? I searched. I found the SBEC pinout diagram on oldschoolhotrodder.com, but not the correct bulkhead diagram.

    Thanks!
