Pulled the whole heater box out of my 92 Daytona last night to clean it. Cleaning the heater core, evaporator, and whole box. This clip fell in the ground. Anyone know where it goes?

Looks like one of the throttle cable/trans kick-down cable retainers from the throttle body...

It came from my interior, pulling the heater box. What the heck was it doing up there.
I think that's the clip that keep the push rod on the brake pedal. Not 100% on that.
I know it is not that clip, I have that clip re installed, little different. I found this on the passenger floorboard.
for attaching a cable to the heat / a c box maybe?
was it on top of or under the carpet
under , it could be just a spare some worker droped when the car was built
I found bits n pieces under the carpet in my 73 scamp , includeing an entire pass side door lock rod assembly
probably droped when the lunch bell or shift change bell rang
i found the same clip on the floor in my csx after removing he brake booster, never did find out where it came from
I agree, it looks like the clip for the brake push rod.
Maybe it's a factory sullpied spare. (Dropped in the car during assembly)
I found that and a reusable cotter pin on the floor on the carpet, not sure where either of them went. Didn't find a home for them so I left them in my box of spare parts.
