My buddy has an automatic turbo caravan and needs to get the rpms down when cruising on the highway. He refuses to install a lockup converter, and he doesn't have any taller tires at the moment. I remember the mod being transfer gears from 79-83 Omnis but there's like none of them in the junkyards around anymores. Is there any other cars the same transfer gears might come out of? Anybody I can buy them from?
If you want the RPMs down you want the .91 transfer gears. The 1.22 will have it screaming on the highway.

OK so then its the .91 transfer gears. Is there anyplace to find them?
Post up wanted ads, they are the holy grail of gears or the other solution is to take gearing out of a newer caravan to get the same result.

OK, at least I found out an easier way to look in the yards for them. If I find them great, if not oh well.
get the #'s from this website, it is located on the drivers side of the trans just above the pan if memory servers. Also shows which vehicles to look for.
