Need a new constant power for my radio

So last year my gf and I took my Daytona to the drive-in movies. I thought I would be smart and pull the fuse for the interior lights since we layed down the seats and had the hatch open. So when I pulled the fuse for the interior/cargo lights, that also killed power to the radio. Right now the radio constant power is on a pink wire So, right now I have my whole dash out of the car and I am going through and fixing some other things. I would like to know what fused circuit in the fuse box I can tap into that will be a constant power, but will not draw too much to blow the fuse. I can not see my radio receiver taking too much amperage. Looking at either of the parking lights (20 Amp) or fog lights (15 Amp) relay power feed off of the fuse block. Also looking at a circuit with red wires running all over, cigarette lighter (20 Amp) is on this circuit too.

Can you not turn interior lights off on the headlight switch on that one? Key in ACC, blower off, interior lights off, radio should be only thing sucking power.

I can turn off the interior lights with the switch, the issue is when the hatch is open or a door is open, there is no way to shut off the interior lights when a door or hatch is open. I can pull the fuse for the lights, but then the constant power for the radio is gone also.

I would think you could use any constant hot you want. The constant 12V feed is strictly for maintaining memory in the radio. Virtually no draw at all. I would think you could get by with a 1 amp fuse on it...

Matchbox has a hot wire feed to the interior that I use for the radiator fan, interior fan, radio, and cigarette 12V outlet.

If that is the case, I will tap into the cigarette lighter wiring back on the firewall. Having the complete dash out makes this pretty easy work.

I tapped the constant hot for my radio into the cigarette lighter wiring. I will call this a success, now when I pull the fuse for the interior lights, the radio stays on. Pretty easy change to do right when the dash is out of the car.

Pull the domelight bulb?...easier than changing wiring! (I know you already did it)

You are on a roll today... I would have to pull the bulb for the dome light, both bulbs in the map lights and the cargo light. That is 4 things to pull, or I can pop the fuse cover, pull one fuse and viola, no interior lights!

even more fancy would be to install a toggle switch on the hatch pin and kill the dome light when you open the hatch

All that comes on with your hatch open? Only the dome light and the cargo light come on in my car when the hatch is open. I forgot about the cargo light in my other comment. Kinda dumb since I just pulled mine out the other day! LOL
