After a ride on the motorcycle with the Mrs, came back and got some more work done. Grommet for the fuel tank, Jacob sanded and painted the fan shroud with POR-15, a picture of the OEM E-brake shoes and the reason why I changed out the axle on the passenger side. It had been welded to the jack shaft. While I was doing the grommet, Kyle pulled the '92 tail lamps and the lock cylinder so I can get it re-keyed.

Check this place out for odd sized tires.

    http://www.tires-easy.com/

I've ordered from them before with no issues.
Be aware about the shipping though, sometimes you can find a more expensive tire that costs less to ship then the cheaper tires.

Are you dead set on not replacing the rubber brake lines? I had one collapse on me and lock up a caliper once.

If they showed any signs of wear I would, so for the moment I'll leave them be.

Aside from the paint, doing what I have to do to have a mechanically sound vehicle where everything works as it should.

the paint was what generated my statement. i do all the other mechanical stuff.... then i get excited and skip the paint and making things look good.

    mechanicals = good enough.

+paint and fixing trim and carpets and stuff = everything

    lol

    Yesterday was a tough Monday.

Picked up the paint guy who mumbled a lot about being busy but would get something done so check back in a day or two. Disposed of the two clamp on battery cable ends and soldered on copper eyelets with red/black heatshrink and installed cable ends with posts. Tonight we will get the passenger door apart so the handle and lock can be pulled along with the sweep (In route)

Just off the phone with Discount Tire. color me unimpressed.

Got the "oh the tires were out of stock and just came in last night" and I'm assured that they would go out today. And then the guy started on me having aftermarket rims on my car and are you sure you have the right tire size?

I therefore corrected him sharply and suggested it would be a good idea if he got his database updated.

Send me the requested tire and size pronto or refund my money jack. sheesh.

Finally got the invoice for tires and filed for the rebate, which contrary to what they had posted on their website was $25

Just something to be aware of if dealing with this vendor, the rebate was not a factor in the purchase. Wish I took a screen shot though.

Stripped the passenger door tonight and pulled the door handle for repaint and rekey.

Sweeps off for replacement as soon as the parts arrive. Will repaint mirrors at same time.

Yep, I'vw had a couple of bad dealings with discount tire. Won't ever use them again. Told the local store on three occasions that they sold me out of round tires. Wouldn't believe me. I filed a complaint online, then they decided to listen. Wanted to "make it right" with me. I told them tuff sh#t, I had just sold the car the night before. They lost a customer for life...

I buy from Tire Rack, or ebay if I find a good deal...

Re: 1987 CSX for SDAC 2015

    1) Need two plastic "nuts" that hold a logic module in place.
    2) Need two plastic covers for the sholder belts, other cars beside Shadow are the same I suspect. Gray/Charcoal color.
    3) Need the center seat belts for back seat. Mine are rusted up and badly stained. Outers are ok and will clean up.
    4) Also an unmolested lower dash cover or if unavailable a few of the metal clips that hold the cover in place (I'll fill the holes in the currect cover)

    Thanks!
