Put it in the parts for sale listings...
Someone might need a spare for their Consulier to keep it original!

Sorry no updates the last 48 hours- Been doing massive garage cleaning and shuffling around and you will see some stuff in the parts for sale section in the next week which I can deliver to SDAC. The good news there is I found a few parts that can be used on the Shadow which saves a few bucks. Today I do have to try and pull off the windshield trim to prevent it being damaged when the glass is replaced Tuesday.

Ordered a pile of parts today from rock auto, fingers crossed they get it right.

Ordered new windshield trim, the original stuff is pretty beat and will hold off doing the windshield till then.

    Rock Auto.

Been looking around for a parts car, damn there is like none. Easier to find a 60's Mopar then a 80/90's Shadow!

Re: 1987 CSX for SDAC 2015

Small steps forward- A few boxes waited for me on the steps after work today. Installed new hatch props, new clutch and brake pedals rubbers and replaced the wiper linkage bushings. Anyone need a few? Had to buy a box of 10, I'll drop a pair in the mail for nothing if you need a few.

Went to change out the stereo and found it still has the security screws! Laughed and went in the house for the night.

The message center looks like its dead, something else to investigate. A few steps forward, one or two back.

Still marching through the garage parts bins, much have found 10 passenger side motor mounts! And to think I almost ordered one..

Want to thank various board members helping me out with parts on the car! Dan Hemingway dropped off some seats last night and a few other odds and ends.

And if anyone wants to order windshield trim WKT998 Windshield Molding / Seal be aware that it is all plastic unlike the originals and one piece not three like factory.

Looks ok though, after the windshield is installed I'll take a picture.

Along with fixing up the CSX there are other projects going on here- An overused term but the boys did an EPIC amount of work yesterday. We sorted through 5 five gallon pails full of fasteners from Shelby Dodges that failed to escape The Driveway of Death.

A local guy came by in the morning and dragged off all the '66 Barracuda parts I had cluttering up in storage. Could have made a lot more selling in Ebay or Craigslist but its gone and I don't have to deal with shipping nor tire kickers. Were going to keep getting things cleared out till we can go racing and have some fun.

Damn, I'd have given up a long time ago, lol.

Why are the T1 injectors too lean? Or are they log injectors vs 2.5 T1 injectors?

    Steps forward, steps back tonight.

Boys went over the floor pan with scotch brite and then painted it with POR-15. While they were doing that I popped in some vintage Turbo II injectors and replaced the noisy fan. After the car was running for several minutes it abruptly shut itself off. Only code that came up was 13 so I swapped out a MAP sensor which made no difference and then changed the vacuum routing a bit which seemed to make it happy. It continued to run for several minutes and then after snapping the throttle changed its mind and shut off again. I think the pickup is heat sensitive and will try another tomorrow.

I used to to that. After the third or fourth container I gave up and started the bolt bucket. Someday I'll get back to it

I had an ignition coil give me a fit to diagnose. It would start and run, the sputter and cut off abruptly.
But it looks like you have a new one in there.
