Another P-body, now I own 4 of the damn things.

87 Shadow with 45,000 miles on the clock. Yes legit "little old lady drove it to church" vehicle!

I'm swapping the WHOLE INTERIOR lock, stock and barrel into the CSX and the Shadow will get what is in the CSX. My son Jacob will then get the Shadow and is responsible for doing the front brakes, radiator and muffler. That is all the car needs, its mint.

Even though my arms are suffering from poison ivy (and brother do I mean suffering) I was game enough today to pull the interior out of the CSX to do the swap with the Shadow with 45k on the clock.

The car had one more surprise for me. What the hell is a Mountain Dew 12 pack box doing glued to the top of the headliner dated 1995?

Almost have the dash out. Calling it a day.

While the car is "off the road" doing the interior I'm going to swap out the front struts, align, swap out the drivers axle, install new speakers and hood insulation pad, and tidy up some other loose ends before moving on to the Dart.

This really does take all the fun out of things...

The rear seat from the 87 TBI car won't fit my CSX unless I cut the bracket off the trunk floor. Turns out its a non-split rear seat which I can't even recall seeing one before.

Back to square one as far as seating goes! ARG

That's crazy. I too have never seen a one piece rear seat in a P body before. That's pretty wild.

The 88 CSX-Ts were a one piece rear seat.

I can't recall seeing one before, surprise.

We have the dash pulled out the TBI car and called it a day. The CSX will be off the road for a week or two while I ponder this latest development. While the dash is out I have some dynamat I can put on the firewall and do some general cleaning up. New insulation for the roof area, etc.

Stuff like this is really discouraging.

Pretty much I purchased a TBI car for a headliner, dashboard and some better carpet trim for the hatch area.

    nuts.

OK- here is a list of things I'm doing in the next week.. The CSX dashboard is now in Jacob's Shadow and his car is running again. Tonight we are going to pull the headliner out and if things go smooth swap the CSX headline in.

Repair small crack in dash frame and install with new insulation
Install headliner and new insulation, add extra support in middle
    Install new speakers
Install new a/c lines and charge system, detail compressor
    Install new CSX door decals
    Swap drivers axle
    Install new struts and align.
Do something about rattling l/r caliper

    I think thats it..

I'd love to make it this year but I'm not sure it is going to happen. I am kicking around the idea of a high speed blast down there, hanging out for a day or two and cranking back.

Do it. I've taken the liberty of preparing a video manual for the proper course of action if you get pulled over.

I'm trying to enlist Jon Genesky as a co-driver, looks like a no go.

1200 miles one way with no 2nd driver is looking tough.
