Good luck. Hope whoever cut the wires and attempted removal the first time didn't already round it off though. Considering they clearly gave up and taped them back together.....

Marc's answer is the way I go, but I prefer to heat it up by running for 5 minutes, then breaking off the sensor and using a short 7/8 socket because there's less deflection. Try not to use on O2 socket for loosening the old one, they tend to break.
