    Attention fabricators !!

I've got a Shadow with RUSTY lower rear spring perches ! The center mounting divot has completely rusted out.Leaving just the ring under the coil itself. And they're lumpy too. I haven't been able to find a replacement rear axle thats much better either .
So my question ,or idea is . Have any of youze fabricators made a replacement "pan" or lower perch for our cars?
Since I believe I'm not the only victim here .This might be the instigation for a"lucrative sideline business."

Sounds like you are perch on the rear axle itself. If so, take a look at what Pat did with his GrassRoots Magazine Shadow... (probably on ScAries too.) He modified the perches to take coil-overs... Thought I saw more details on this, but here are a few shots of what I am talking about...

yes, I did cut the axle perches out of my GRM Shadow. I can snap a few more pics of it's helpful, but what I did was cut the perch out completely, weld in a plate and made a perch to support a coil over collar. You could do the very same thing and just make a coil spring perch. Wasn't hard to do. A cutting wheel, some steel, a welder and some time and you can put almost any spring you want on it.

I took a chipping hammer to mine and left the insulating pads off. Nasty but its nowhere near breaking through I think.
