FWDperformance STAGE II LM 14psi only hitting 10psi, help?

What do you all think?1985 LeBaron 3spd-Auto
2.25" Gutted Exhaust, Step Colder Plugs, K&N Filter, Stock Log Intake etc...

Installed is a good Stage II LM frm FWDperformance for 14psi. I had a crappy gauge and it only read 10psi at WOT, I unplugged the gauge and hooked it up in a new spot, the line in video coming from the fuel pressure system it looks like.
I bought a new Autometer 30/30 gauge for my 2004 SRT-4 and took the stock one out and put it in the LeBaron and I am getting the same readings. Is the vac reading proper at coast and idle, and boost psi?
    (Elevation 7,000')
    1) Does this line see full psi, or is it regulated only for 10psi? I would imagine it should see actual numbers in order to adjust fuel properly?
    2) Does this stock T1 LOG INTAKE only flow 10psi, and if so why is here a 12 and 14psi LM option for them?
    3) Does this engine have a major boost leak somewhere that others may know about? Or, does someone have a guide to boost-leak testing?
    4) Could the LM be denying the true 14psi tune at this elevation or possibly the tune wrong?

    5) Could the Wastegate be tired or the turbo, even with only 61k miles? How do I test?

That hissing sounds like a vac leak somewhere. At the same time I'm thinking that the can must be seeing some pressure to get only 10PSI. Have you tried unhooking the WG can from vac and VERY CAREFULLY doing a pull to see what boost you will attain? It'll shoot up like a rocket if you try that so be ready to get off the gas immediately once you confirm it'll go higher than 10PSI.

Should also just switch to a manual boost controller since computer controlled boost never seems to be accurate. But that certainly sounds like a vacuum leak somewhere.

Any typical leaks to look for on the driver's side? Which would provide a solid 4psi loss, aslo is my Vac amount wrong, it looks too high (or low in inHG). I think 18-20inHG is what is expected at coast and 16-20 at idle?

Honestly if the vacuum lines haven't been replaced in it yet, Nows a good time to just take the time and change them with decent quality vacuum lines. With more boost pressure the old and dry rotted lines tend to break apart.

Also, if I go to a 2-piece or 1-piece intake for a T1 to TII swap, would I then need another re-tune? Didn't all log-intake supported LM's have a factory tune for richer 3 and 4 cylinder as to keep them from leaning out? Would the 86+ distributor make sense too then? I think at that point I would just return the StgII LM and go manual like most suggest since I am adding an AEM UEGO next week to watch and adjust. I am going to order the 180tstat as well to keep things cool, the STGII LM is nice that it kicks the fan on more often though... Would my timing and spark be adjustable to tune as well somehow?

That two piece you just posted about would work for an intake. You would need a fuel rail too. An 86+ distributor and matching LM would also be necessary. You can easily tune the LM yourself if you're up to the task. However, a stock 87 TII LM with added boost would be fine unless you're aiming to make a lot of power IMO.

Yeah, not tons of power like I stated in my older posts. I'd like over 200 at least, with minimal $ thrown into it. I could use the STG2 LM from FWD snce it's socketed and change all parameters right? Or does the base LM in the vehicle need to be the year of the distributor regardless of intake?

I know that at some point all of the 87 LMs had the stuff needed to run the TII cal. It's best to try and find an actual TII one though. You can socket a board with no experience for about $40 even if you don't own the tools right now. It's super easy.

I would pull the vac line and go for a careful drive.

Roger that, headed out now. I remember doing this with the SRT to setup the FM wastegate to 4psi by itself, then plug in and tune via handheld DSP. So when the wastegate is unhooked, it just keeps going and going instead of a preset mechanical amount?

I would not trust the srt gauge for sure. Those things are notoriously crap.

Unplugged the wastegate, went soaring past 10psi... Suggestions for aftermarket? Also the small line going from rear of TB was extremely loose, new line and tightened.

Stock autometer SRT gauges are spot on to 20psi,then it's a guessing game. I'm running 23psi pump gas and 26psi e85 on my SRT and needed a 30/30

Re: FWDperformance STAGE II LM 14psi only hitting 10psi, help?

Someone suggested I need a new inline orifice to the wastegate? I looked it up with some info and it's either a T or L fitting with small diameter openings that change, with a plug inside and a tiny hole to let the pressure through via computer control boost cycles to actuate the physical wastegate to desires psi amounts? Mine has this, and it's a Black L fitting not a red or blue like I keep seeing, should I just put a large regular L bend instead on to push more air or no?

    4x TII injectors
fuel rail that match the intake manifold
    fuel pressure regulator
TII exhaust manifold or modify yours
    TII turbo or modify yours
TII ECU that is program for G head
TII engine wiring or modify yours
    Vacuum hoses
    Vacuum block
    TII intercooler/hoses/airbox or custom
    TII radiator or custom
TII distributor, hep sensor, rotor, and cap.

    I think that's it.

    Get a manual boost controller.

Yep. The easiest way to do it would be a MBC. Your WG is obviously not the problem.

oh, so the fact it kept gaining is confirmation of the WGA working and not bad. Should I just add the MBC with the STG2 LM to keep other beneficial adjustment like fan control, fuel, spark, etc..?
