So the Green Top Silver Bodied Injectors...

I think I pulled them out of an FFV vehicle a few years ago, the part number is 5277896 but I cant find it on Donavans or Knowledge center here. It was *speculated* that they flow 13% more that TII/2.5 stock. Was this ever tested and confirmed? Trying to find suitable fueling for Woody for MATS this weekend. Always last minute...

They're almost +20's. They flow about 39pph instead of 42...

That thread explains it pretty well, I didn't remember if they were ever substantiated. Its a bummer for me, I already have a brand new set of +20's I could use, I was hoping that the FFV's were smaller like the 13% rumor. According to the tests in the other thread, once cleaned they flow almost identical to the 20's

FFV injectors have higher impedence too.

Re: So the Green Top Silver Bodied Injectors...

    Alan,
Both Cindy and myself have cleaned and flowbenched many sets of green top FFV injectors. According to Cindy's flowbench and Mr. Injector flowbench they flow no where near a +20 injector. Several sets of mine all flowed 360cc/min. @ 55 PSI (Bill Johnson @ Mr Injector flowbenched them twice after I doubted his findings). Cindy's flowed 391cc/min @ 55 PSI (different flowbench). Other people like Ben (topdollar69) that have actually flowbenched them have found this same thing out. This was on yet a third different flowbench. So in other words SLIGHTLY larger than a TII injector. Stan Weiss's database has them listed incorrectly at 396cc/min @ 43.5 PSI and 446.1cc/min @ 55 PSI. IMO, don't put them in thinking they are close to +20's, or you could believe it, because it must be true because its on the Internet (hehe). My almost bone stock CSX-T (intercooled and no cat on stock exhaust system) runs them at 55 PSI with Shelby Z SMEC. Long and short fuel trim % are like at +1-3 %. That alone tells me they aren't close to +20% injectors. Impedance is 3.3 ohms while TII injectors are 2.7 ohms. Still considered low impedance.

So just so you know Mr Nelson, if you say it, I believe it It's just strange however how much incorrect/Misinformation there is about the FFV injectors I dropped the MP +20's in there today, I only wish I had and extra week to plan ahead on the build and maybe order a BB cal that can optimize the set up for next weekend. My Bro and I are dropping the drivetrain in tomorrow, gonna just lower the boost(via grainger) and watch the WB 02 closely as we crank up the boost. I'd certainly rather not be pulling the motor out again soon to build a bottom end this time. I'll Proceed with caution

Well have you got a 3.0 FPR hanging round if +20 is too much, that will drop you back to ~48 PSI

What ECU? In my experience a 89 T2 ECU has enough "room" to run them just fine. Obviously it will be richer at WOT But you can fix that with boost .

If you get a BB setup, get a flashable one. You'll love it once you get it figured out and never go back to a regular ECU again.
