I feel like such a slacker. I read Gary D's CSX thread, an realized he bought his car 3 weeks after me, and he's already made a ton more progress...

No one is as big of a slacker as me. I just now, after all these years, started working on my reliant yesterday.

Turned sideways and crammed under the core support.

Or cut out the spare tire well. Make a duct.

Re: '84 GLH Restomod + BoostButton Development Car

Slowly making progress. Got the 2.2 T1 block on the stand last night, threw a head, intake, exhaust and turbo on it to mock-up the intercooler. The lower IC hose will need some thinking, but the top works out perfect. The BOV adapter pipe I bought definitely will NOT fit at all. So, that will go on the shelf for future use.

There's a lot of scale in the water jackets. So, I may CLR it. Or maybe not. I'm a little concerned about dripping it on the cylinder bores which appear to be fresh. The deck, too. Glad I popped the freeze plugs out, though. The center rear freeze plug had the original plug stuck in there. Not sure why they didn't pull it out. It was easy to get. I'm sure it would have hurt the cooling performance if I had left it in there.

I'll take some pics this weekend. Going to strip the black enamel off the block and get it ready for the 'proper' Mopar Hemi orange paint; new freeze plugs, etc. so I can start assembling it.

Lower IC from T2 turbo to 600hp Frozen boost IC, your "350hp" i/c might need a little more length in the middle

Sweet, thanks. Just bought 2 of essentially the same hoses. The 45deg 2 to 2-1/2" adapter I bought isn't going to work.

That's a 2.0-2.5 90 degree and a 2.5-3.0 90 degree, had to shave the 2.5" ends down to get it to fit, but it fits perfect now.

    Yeah, I bought a 2 to 2.25" 90 and a 2.25 to 2.5" 90 to fit my intercooler.

Just not sure how it'll work. The Mitsu outlet comes out at a slight angle. Might need to trim the 2" end at an angle...

Yes, it appears to have JB Weld added to 'enhance' the limited slip capabilities.

Car is trying to kill me though.

Rear main looks ok (oil leak looks like the return line which is fine as the turbo is coming off anyways) but checking the tie rods shows one of the inners is not so good.

    sigh.

Good thing I have three spare racks out in the barn.

I just bought one locally from orielys for $20. I dropped the sway bar and was able to get a wrench through that hole to change it. Much easier then pulling the whole rack.
