hahaha, she was asking about how you were going to handle the trip over with the baby. What's the distance and time? It is probably close to what it will be from Memphis, maybe a little shorter.

About 750 for the mileage I think. It should take 11-12 hours with no baby. I'm going to be happy if we make it in 15.

Oh, no. That would be a marriage ender right there no two ways about it. The dog will be put up at the local kennel and the baby will be in the back seat enjoying what it was like to travel by motorcoach before the advent of AC.

hahaha We'll be without AC as well. I think that will be on the list of to-do's for next year.

sounds like you need a turbo van.... with AC lol.

ill be in AC one way or another. the k car will have AC soon. i have all the parts sitting there... finalizing up the intercooler piping before installing everything else.

if i dont get the k car done in time, ill be in the neon... with ice cold AC.

im older and wiser now. i just turn up the boost to account for that compressor drag. lol.

Ha. I just posted in that thread. I would love that van, but I just can't do another automatic car. I have all the tools to work on the 5 speed stuff and I have a pile of parts in the basement. Autos are another matter.

It could still be very reliable even at a moderate power level. This is a perfect turbo family hauler.

Reeves was wanting to sell his turbo van with its 5 speed conversion. Not sure if he still trying to sell it or not.

Any thoughts on "caravanning" over from Indy with me? I'll be heading out on Saturday and currently look to making the trip solo....

If you don't mind making more frequent stops I'm all for it.

I'm used to frequent stops. I have two kids! It's always nice to have others traveling along in case of car trouble, getting lost, etc.

    Official SDAC-25 Discussion Thread

Just a reminder that the registration for the SDAC-25 autocross is open. Registration for the event is online only. No walk-ups will be accepted. Be sure that when you register, that you place yourself in one of the two SDAC groups, the bottom two choices in the car class drop-down menu. They are broken by the first letter of your last name. See image below.

If you did accidentally put yourself in another group, you can go back and edit your entry.

    Thanks!

Thanks for that info Mike. I thought I was going to have to call someone or email someone to get that changed. I signed up before there was an SDAC class.

I got me in the right place now and, hopefully, will be ready to scrape door handles with everyone else! Just need to get the car checked out and some maintenance stuff done on it and the truck and trailer for the haul East and I should be having fun. God, I missed you guys last year!
