I don't think many folks who are here are keeping an eye on posts.
Like i said, i would imagine someone could help. Or the backup plan across the street.

Made it home safely this morning. The loaded up MeanMini managed 21.6 mpg cruising at 70-75 mph.

Absolutely! Thanks to all the staff, organizers, sponsers, and volunteers involved.
It was alot of fun, and so good to be around so many old friends.
I'm in withdrawals today. Hope I can make it next year!

Thanks to everyone that put this together and made it run smoothly!

My "new" trans got me home just fine. Then I got to see how much grime was actually embedded in my scalp that needed a few cycles of Fast Orange to come out.
    Good times!

Mad Props to Jon Berube, a natural born leader if there ever was one, took control and gave the trans swap effort the knowledge mod it needed to get completed. Crazy kid that JB, didn't even go to bed the night of the trans swapClick image for larger version.

    Re: Official SDAC-25 Discussion Thread

I committed at dinner to only have beer after the job was done. If it wasn't for needing to wait for Advance to open for a ball joint boot the job would have been finished around the time of the pic. Thankfully the judges ruled that I could have a beer, which I promptly followed up with others.
Notice the Marshall's shirt Jon was required to pick from the bag after deciding to get dirty.
Kelly gets the huge pat on the back. He loaded my car on his dolly on the track return road and got me back to the hotel. After stocking up at Advance and Marshalls we started maybe the best dressed transmission swap I have ever done. He worked the top disassembly while I worked from the ground. He kept at the job until it was done.
Install was the big PITA! Probably in large part from not cleaning corrosion first on the trans where pilot things go.
Big thanks to Dan Culkin for all his help and keeping an eye on safey. Wayne looks pretty clean in the picture but I know he was helping.

Matchbox and I W bracket with a worse reaction time but only .04 off my dial, nice girl named Molly (cant remember last name) killed the tree with a .023 light but couldnt run her 15.07 dial in a 2014 V6 Avenger. I ran 16.17 on 16.13...was dialed 16.10 until that round

Turtle race won by Cliff Sebring in his 11.50 second old school rwd wagon to a yellow SRT4. The semis Cliff had the bye run and I let the SRT4 around me by .007!

    Re: Official SDAC-25 Discussion Thread

On the way there at 65-70 mph Matchbox got 24 mpg on Indiana...non-alcoholic gas but only 22 on the way back with that 10% crap mix! My EGTs at the end of the track were 100 degrees more than what I run with REAL gas...I have the carb set up a bit rich for normal racing which then goes a bit lean (but still safe) for the 10% mix crap.

Trans swap was definitely mastered by the best dressed club of Kelly and Dan.

Dan Culkin was in it for the long haul as well.

I'm just glad it was able to all come together and get Dan (and I...LOL) home!

It was nice to meet you and your family. It was nice to have friends ride along on the ride to the show. Glad you were able to get the brake line fixed and back on the road! Even if it was money you didn't want to spend at least you guys are now safe. You guys were still able to make the events and hopefully had a great time! I bet you won't have trouble in talking your daughter Rachel into going again. I saw he having a blast in the pool at the hotel too! LOL Just remember, this group likes to have fun and will always help others in need.
