Check your junk mail folder. I tried it 3 or 4 times and didn't think I was getting a response until I checked there, and for some reason, each time I tried, the confirmation email went there.

Hey, maybe check that folder where the emails go that don't end up in your inbox.

I'm thinking it could be in his spam folder. Although I've signed up and had no issues with the process.

I would see if the email got caught by a spam blocker, or maybe a virus detector. It also could be in your junk folder.

    Re: Official SDAC-25 Discussion Thread

    Latest update:

Bleeding the new brakes (with the engine running) and see some smoke coming from the engine. It's coming from under valley cover. Pull the cover off and there's antifreeze in valley and in two of the spark plug wells...I places several calls to the "experts" and the consensus was that I should be able to build a RTV and Aluminum can dam/retention pond between the #2 & #3 Spark Plug wells and contain the leak and it should be fine to autocross and drag at SDAC-25, especially since I'm planning on towing it out there. Now I just need to get the new trailer brake shoe in and installed as we worked on them yesterday and the one shoe fell off as soon as the drum was pulled (debonded from the backing plate) and both were cracked pretty bad. At least the drums themselves looked fine and the bearings despite having wasted grease in them, checked out and were able to be repacked.

Still holding on to my hopes and dreams...NEED MORE TIME!

This was after cleaning all the coolant out of the head and cleaning with a bit of Brake Parts Cleaner. I couldn't get the crack to show up that well with my phone. I wouldn't have figured that it would have started leaking after all this time and 93,000 miles. It has!

Do you need some Al plugs? That's 3/8ths NPT right? I think I have a couple.

I may need them eventually and I'd need three but it's not gonna fix the crack that's already there. I guess I should have put them in already! LOL

Looks like the problem is too many valves. #mikemarra

It comes from those white jugs that I buy at the auto parts store and pour into the Radiator. I think it helps keep the engine cool and its supposed to be better than using just water because it doesn't freeze or boil as easy. That's what I've heard.

Chemical manufacturers. Generally older vehicles use ethylene glycol based products.

I don't know the ins and outs of it, but mine comes from isle 3 at the local hardware place. Mike, could you talk a little more about where they catch the stuff in the wild? I usually catch it in a can, but this jug intrigues me. Maybe if we all caught enough of it we could sell it for less than $10.99/gal.

And it doesn't corrode things as easy either. Leave pure water in your car and its a corrode-o-rama festival
