EDIT: So, just did a little Travelocity plinking around, can't seem to find a rental Sprinter, flight plus Dodge Caravan Mini Van(?) $1216.17 hotel not included. Well that's only $304/day plus food, drinks, club, fuel, nitrous, etc. Sounds like a bargain to see my once a year friends

It's surely a thing from now on so, get that Caravan and see if you can find a retractable pole for the center! It's gonna be a fun night

Probably but I wouldn't fly into there. Should be way cheaper to fly into BWI and rent the car there. It's 1 1/2 hours away...easy drive

I am planning to ply into Philly from SeaTac and drive a rental from there. I'm going to be getting my flight tix this week. Reserving hotel tonight. Already pre-registered for SDAC...gotta do Carlisle next.

Hey Jim,
SDAC won't be picking a motel for Carlisle. Rooms are already in short supply there and many places will likely sell out.

But don't wait, make your Carlisle room reservations ASAP, if you wait, all that will be left are the most expensive rooms.

For Carlisle, there are a few hotels clustered together in the New Cumberland area. Shoot for rooms at those and we can all be in the same general area. Dave has some calls in but we've been waiting to hear back. It is wise to book something that you can cancel and if Dave comes up with anything then you can switch later on.

We have a double room at the Scottish Inn in New Cumberland but looks like we probably won't make it since the car is no where close to being ready.

Looks like my plus one this year will be my 13 year old Son Jagger I'm stoked because he's never traveled to a car club meet with me before. He is a little reluctant that he'll be "bored" but he's gonna tough it out

How soon would an announcement on a hotel for Carlisle be? I made reservations last August, but may reserve a place elsewhere if it's more affordable and I can see more because of it.

Looks like I have to switch from "going" to "maybe." I have a busy summer planned and I am not sure I can make it to SDAC this year. I just added Sturgis to my summer plans so something has to give.

^^Agreed...especially if it's anything like Daytona Beach for Bike Week or Biketoberfest. Done both, several times, a couple with a bike. Meh...whatever. It's fun to ride with all the other bikes, but I don't like sitting in traffic for 2 hours to go 1/2 mile while my clutch hand is so tired it feel like it's going to fall off.
