New Door Pulls
What else have you done to get down below 2000#? I am thinking you will be low 2000's.

Just comparing weight with Mr Stramers car(2145lbs). The Hairy Glass hatch and hood has saved me at least 150lbs alone. Mr. Stramer also has most of his interior in, I only have the one race seat(pulling other) and a couple of gauges, no dash, carpet, door covers, or anything. I also cut out the spare tire/hatch floor and replaced it with lexan. I have pulled out alot of metal from the body and still continue to do so. Almost every bolt is cut to length. All glass is lexan as well. Traklites are under 11/lbs a piece etc etc etc.
I will have a race weight posted next week when I finish installing my prototype coilovers.
FWDPerformance Prototype Coilovers still testing fit and function. So far things are lining up very well.
Not fully adjusted, but they are in and fit well. Now need to decide on spring rate.
Oh, they also saved me another 14lbs
That adjustment down into the yoke is making me happy.
Dont push the red button. You hear me?
Here are some more
Hairy glass hood 15lbs, semi trimmed.
Put the car on the scales and it weighed in at a hefty 2106lbs with a full tank of gas, one pair of full size tires, extra seat, seat belt, and misc box of crap in it. I also plan on pulling the headlights, extra wiring, and lightening up the heavy wing.
I will post a race weight soon, should be under the 2000lb mark
Coilovers set, now off for an alignment then to the track!
Looks great!!
Looks good! Did you pull the front fenders out a bit at the wheel wells?
I did not have to pull the fenders out, but did roll the edges a little bit with a rubber mallet. I also had to trim about an inch off the front of both fender wells near the bottom so i could turn.
Awesome build, looks great and love those rear wheels.
I would say aftermarket cams are needed or for my setup they sure were. My Stage 2 cams made power to at least 7500rpm, and she was still pulling. I took them out and put stockers in, blah, stopped pulling around 6200 rpm IIRC. I could have spun that sucker to probably 8500 and it would still have made power. I miss my van,
