That's barely legible but it's 'good enough'!
Dont push the red button. You hear me?
Looks like peak torque is still rising some as well!!
I could see 525 or so on the current setup, but not 600.
Well 474hp @26psi was already made at 7k with the power still climbing,so the peak power to be made @26psi is still unknown. Just raising the boost 10 more psi could possibly raise the HP 100 more making that 574Hp. And then add to that what ever more HP from the peak power number once it is found. But the turbo being used would have to be able to support 600+ HP. But then I could be way off!
Unfortunately, we will never know. I am just way too leary of throwing any more boost or rpm's at this motor with the stock rods. I can say that we have been seeing 12-15hp per psi from 16 to 23psi. Just to clarify the 26psi 474hp run was an untuned run. we couldn't get the wastegate to open because I had both springs installed. James threw a ton of fuel at it and made a pull. After that we got the spring issue corrected and started the tune at 16psi(360whp). from there James added 2-3psi each time till we got to the current 23ish psi 460whp. After that I started to get worried about the rods, It is too nice a runner to ruin purely for a numbers game.
It is on the dyno right now just trying to make sure my tach is reading properly so I can hit the track this friday. Made one pull at 23ish psi and made 425whp@6450rpm. The graph kept climbing as usual. We are also trying to get the vss working so we can set the 2 step.

After this weekends racing, I will be pulling this motor out and installing the fully built motor with new intake manifold, fuel rail, 70mm TB, and a413. Also going to be working on a more efficient exhaust manifold setup.
Wish me luck and low et's
I agree.
Boost rise and transient control can be misleading while considering that most chassis dynos are indicative of crank output levels rather than the accuracy of their internal calculations.
This was determined and proven when the SRT Stage calibrations were being developed and we removed the engine from the engine dyno, installed it in a vehicle and tested the car at several facilities.
In some cases, the results were higher (torque and HP) than the values seen on the engine only dyno which was humorously accepted as compensation errors and chassis dyno manufacturer differences.
In any case, this car is making excellent numbers and when combined with stable transient boost control methods will be a reliable on-the-road blast.
Nice work and enjoy the fruits of your labor !!
Thank you sir, well said.
I can say, however, that this dynocom dyno is definitely the closest I have see to actual power levels on a car. When I rebuilt a completely stock 2.2l turbo 2 motor for a glhs, I put it on the dyno to seat the rings, did the daily driving, put it back on the dyno and it put down 153whp/181crank. This is just one of many times I have seen almost perfect stock #s from cars and trucks on this dyno. Cindy and James make sure that it is calibrated and up to date with the latest software, which makes my job so much easier
Whats that about discretion being the better part of valor in some cases?
Myself I'd stop right there as long as the package does what you want it to do. Chasing a number for the sake of chasing the number doesn't sound as much fun as actually driving the car and doing something with it.

Working on clearing the decks.
Texas rain does it again, going to try again Sund...
Well, more rain today and all next week.
The Daytona will not be making it to the track with the 5 speed, going to be pulling it and dropping in the a413 and more then likely the new motor as well, stay tuned............
