Need to lower my rear (L-Body)

Okay guys, I have a 1988 Dodge omni (N/A) and I put 1g neon struts n springs on the front.. Now I need to lower the rear.. I say about 1.50"-2" drop..
I dont want to go with sleeves because I don't have sleeves on the front struts.. Any ideas guys? Please help.
    Thanks,

Not sure why you don't want to use sleeves, I cant see it being an issue just because you aren't using them on the front
Summit Racing has tons of 2.5" coilover springs in 2" increments and various spring rates
But that's going to be a crap shoot to get the right height
You'll have to do a bit of fabrication because the originals aren't 2.5" exactly
I built my own coilovers for the front and rear using adjusters from A-1 racing

I can't post pics here or I'd show all the pieces I used

TD still lets you post pics

IIRC you just use the L-body tophat and upper bushings, and everything else can stay Mirage. Or you might have to use the Mirage tophat and the L-body upper bushings, can't remember.

Not sure, never got that far. Personally I would just use sleeves and buy a shorter coil-over spring in the same or slightly stiffer spring rate and adjust the height to where you want it.

I never completed mine, but I believe the eclipse (not sure of year, maybe 2nd gen?) use a coilover spring perch that catches the top of the strut, instead of catching the spring seat. might want to check that out? im sure you could get a coilover kit for those for cheap, or if you are going to use mirage struts, get a coilover kit for those struts?

Thing is I already have sleeves. Just need to find a spring perch or something for the sleeve to sit on top of.. Because the perch for omni shocks are really small..

Re: Need to lower my rear (L-Body)

PM me your email address and I'll send you the parts list for buying the rear coilover
setup, sleeves, adjusting nut and snap ring, total cost $58.44 plus shipping and fits perfectly over a stock GLHT rear shock
Summit racing has the springs for $48 a piece

Total price for the rear setup for both sides is around $175, depending on your location for shipping
