That sounds like the same problem I had a week ago when trying to copy and paste a table. It just shut the whole program down. Although it seems to be fine now...

That is what I figured, thinking it is between my machine and the program, nothing apparent is sticking out though.

It appears to be operating smoothly, no errors popped up and I can open the files.

So, I am attempting to burn an 87 GLHS STG II file, what is the offset for burning the 8k .bin onto 27sf512 chips? I can find offsets for everything except this.

OK, so it's clear the past 6mo or so that the biggest problem anyone has is getting a PC to talk to the ECU.

To try and make it easier to setup, I'm going to try to build a customized driver package for the USB-SCI cable that I sell thru BoostButton. It doesn't seem so tricky to setup, but it might take a couple of tries to get the settings right for the driver install. Once it's done, I'll make it a download from the Wiki.

Okay, so I finally got the RT up and running. Have freshened the bottom end since the f'n melling oil pump locked up and put in my fresh, new Spec Stage III clutch. Now that I have the clutch to support the setup, I am getting the check engine/knock indicator lighting up. I was reading on retarding the timing on the Wiki, but it seems to be different for the TIII, any direction you gurus could provide?

Most likely not. You're not quite a party of 1, but there are very few dining at the TI log table these days. Those who are generally aren't interested in wringing everything they can out of it. Up the boost a bit and enjoy it. If you get to the point that a healthy log motor really needs more than a MP LM, then you're ready for an IC and a TII conversion IMO.

Once we get some of the current projects out of the way, we'll probably start work on the T1 log code. 3.0 and Jeep 4.0 code is the current focus. There isn't a ton of log car tuning interest, but there is some, and I will soon have a car local to me that will be in excellent running condition that I can use as a test bed.

Re: Who here wants to get started tuning the stock ECU?

fwiw, i posted last week a first draft of the 87 t1 code to use with mptune. the 86 t1 should be up in a day or two. brian had asked me to do this so i gave it my best shot. basically copied as much as i could find from rob lloyds t-lm source. the majority of tables and code were located but a large number are unidentified. the 91 3.0 sbec1 v6 and the 94 4.0 sbec2 jeep are also posted up some time ago and are basically a first draft attempt, although i believe rob m has been using the 91 3.0 for testing. map and injector scaling is not complete either.

    i've also got a 92 3.0 sbec2 i'm trying to finish up.

i'll probably take a break after that since it consumes WAY WAY too much time to do. can't imagine the amount of time rob lloyd must have put into figuring out these cals!!! anyhow, wife deserves my attention for awhile :-)

85 TI codes is also different from 86/87 TI codes.

Someone must have stolen my user name, I don't remember writing instruction on how to use MPtuner at the beginning of this thread.

Yeah the stock 1 bar version has been working perfectly, although I had no chance to try the injector scaling on it. But fuel and timing changes seem to work fine.
