Looks like it's in Nebraska and they're flexible on price. Someone save this car before it gets ratted out by some kid...

If it were a little closer than 18 hours away, I would pick it up.

yesm. #366, should have eng#1623, was shipped to Chrysler in Pheonix, AZ originally on 5/4/90 making it one of the last cars shipped out of Whittier. it was a non-recaro car with the standard (195/60/15) tires on it.
The car lot is an extention of a towing/salvage business in town and has been on the lot since late this past summer. The car has been in thier posession since at least the summer of '06, possibly earlier and been stored outdoors since I was made aware of it in '06. I gave the car a good once over after hours about 5 months ago. The paint is mediocre, but it's not peeling anywhere though clearcoat is sunburnt in a few areas, it's 20 yrs old afterall. The underside is actually very clean for a Nebraska car. Surface rust on the rear 1/4s where road debris had been kicked up behind the bumper cover; nothing to be afraid of to repair. The floors look pretty good a TM in the area that's actually driven, very little rust that would not be handled with a wire brush and naval jelly. What would require effort to repair is a section about half the size of a dollar bill. The front bumper cover is missing.
It likely hit something which took out the cover and dented the oil pan. One of the rims has a good size chunk taken out of it, looks like curb jump damage.
I am not certain about the inside of the floors. There was a period of about 1-1.5 years that the drivers window was either missing or rolled down. I would suggest pulling up the carpet on that side to take a look at the inside of the floorboard. Every few weeks I would stop by the towing impound lot and take a peek to see if the car was still there since you could see it from a walking trail. There are a couple pics in my gallery here of it in the lot.
The engine runs like it has a dead hole; though the old man tried passing it off as a stuck lifter. Smokes after a minute or so of runtime. A few months ago it was supposed to come with a replacement used VNT turbo. It was being used as a doorstop at the time.
The tint on the windows needs to be removed; it's purple/blue and is bubbling badly.
The car is quite straight. It would not take much work to make the body perfectly straight.
All the Shelby items except the valve cover and front bumper cover are present and accounted for.
It was sold in Omaha at what's now Jim's Dodge Country on 'L' street.

There was another thread this car was mentioned in a couple years ago. I think one of the Lofink brothers asked about it. I can't find it and am running out of break time.

Great deal for a #rd car!
If it were in New England... I'd jump on it asap! I don't care if the engine knocks as it would be rebuilt anwho....
Hopefully a true TM enthusiast saves the car to restore vs. an azzhat that buys it just to make a few bucks parting out.

I would like to buy the car, I simply can't justify the expense of owning it at this point in time.
