Flywheel to crank is 70 foot pounds. Clutch to flywheel is 21 foot pounds.

Why red? I've always used blue with no issues. Does the FSM call for red thread locker?

do you really want to have to deal with pulling the transmission if one of the flywheel bolts or clutch nuts back out?

I've never had a failure using the blue. I'd have to check, but I believe the FSM specifies blue. The only thing I've ever used red on was ring gear bolts in the transmission.

Last time I used red, I broke the head off a grade 8 bolt trying to get it out. Red is supposed to be "permanent" install.

Thanks for the confirmation. That's what I thought it was.

I think red is supposed to require heat in order to remove. That's one of the reasons I don't use it where it's not called for. I wouldn't want to put heat into the end of the crank and risk damaging a seal, heat treat, etc.

Lol yeah, it does. Had the "parent metal" smoking hot, still broke the bolt.

There's a red for high temperature that's not the permanent kind.

Factory uses blue thread locker on the flywheel to crank bolts and clutch to flywheel bolts. No need for red here.
