    Rod question

One of my T3 rods needs reconditioning. I spun a rod bearing, a main bearing, and it scored the bearing in my turbo which is getting rebuilt as we speak. The other 3 T3 rods are good. The motor that I picked up is a 2.5CB out of turbo daytona. It more than likely has good rods in it. Do you guys think it's better to use the rods out of the 2.5CB or recondition the bad T3 Rod and put other good T3 rods in?

I'm planning on making the 2.5 a 2.2 for my application.

    Re: Rod question

I'd use at least one rod from the 2.5; possibly the whole set if they are in better shape than the TIII rods. Verify that they all have the same number on the side and you're good to go. I wouldn't even think of reconditioning the TIII rod that went bad. Defintely go with ARP rod bolts.
