    Bought an Innovate Wideband

I decided to step up from my Dawes A/F narrow band setup and get a wide band. I got the Innovate MTX-L. Now I'll need to redo the exhaust on the NYer and get a bung installed. Once I start doing stuff to the Sundance, I'll switch it over.

Mark where you want the bung, take the downpipe off, drill a hole, weld the bung, put it back in, and install wideband.

Not sure why you want to re-do the exhaust and add work.

Don't even have to go that far. Remove one exhaust bold and tilt it to the side. That way it will put in on a slight downward angle and help keep condensation from building inside the sensor.

The NYer still has the stock down pipe (2 1/4") and the stock cat. I have a 2 1/2" down pipe on the shelf, just haven't gotten around to switching it out .

Just remember that they used different bolt patterns at the flange so you need to do a little modification. Not hard.

If you can drill and weld the wideband thing is easy. I just spotted a part at Summit that i didnt know about: An exhaust band clamp with the wideband bung in it. All you do is drill the hole and then clamp the bung to the pipe. I guess it's handy for places where you can drill but not weld? If you have the downpipe out it's easy enough to just do it on the floor.

Dont push the red button. You hear me?

Thanks for reminding me about the clamps! I had the 2 1/2" down pipe on my '86 Lebaron, and it is already modified to fit. I took it off a 2.5 turbo Spirit in the JY years ago, for $3. It cut .3 off my 1/4 mile time along with a low restriction cat.
