Its the same reason you built your featherweight Shadow.. because he wants to! The junkyard is where ALL of our cars are going to end up eventually. Show some support for the guy, don't pee on his parade.. jeez

I cant wait to see this thing run and drive! I've been dying to see the twin turbo LT1 omni move and drive around but that hasn't happened yet lol

I can't find the photo on my computer right now, but a few years back there was a RWD converted, 426 Hemi powered rampage at carlisle. It's doable. It's pretty neat looking, too. Good luck!

    Here it is!

i believe this car could/should be much faster than 12's, and his "quote" was with a stock 440, throw a little nitrous in the mix and we'd be talking some much lower times. i think the car "might" end up lighter than 2600 pounds depending and what other weight he'll try to lose, and what weight he'll have to add for cage and other safety equipment. Also, with the rear suspension setup correctly and the right size slicks there shouldnt be ANY wheel spin, just letting off because the front end will be too high in the air

I've been dying to see the twin turbo LT1 omni move and drive around but that hasn't happened yet lol
RIGHT! what happened to that thing, it looked "complete"?

My goal is around 2500 lbs. I have the rear subframe welded in, and it looks like I'll be able to fit 14" wide tread tires underneath.

I myself have been dying to that TT LT1 Omni in action. Wish the guy would post more video of it on Youtube.

I decided to gut the rear doors. The rear seating area is gonna be pretty much taken over with frame and rollcage anyway. Rear door glass and rear hatch glass will be replaced with 1/8" Lexan plastic. Rear door inside door handles and related items are also removed.

No Chip Foose team here lol! The pics posted are from Sept. to Dec. My goal is to have this car running with full frame and rollcage by Sept. 1 2015. Drivetrain can be completely factory stock, doesn't matter to me.

A car like that with a stock drivetrain would still be all smiles while driving. I'm glad to see alot of these cars go rwd. Some people might not but I like all the swaps and such. I hope to start acquiring parts for my rwd 86sc this year

Did you build the rear section or did you buy a back half kit?

I assume you'll be tying the rear crossmember to the front one (and presumably the floor) with the 2x3?
