Any updates on this??
No updates as of yet. My living conditions had drastically changed for the worst there for a while, and I had to put the car in a 10x12 storage unit. We finally were able to move into an actual house last weekend, but I don't have a flat level spot to work on. I'm gonna have to build a temporary flat spot out of 2x4 lumber and sheets of plywood. I'll be able to resume work on the car around the end of this month, and I simply can't wait. I've been really chomping at the bit to work on the car for about 6 months now.
Can't wait to see this build get up and going again
That is pretty cool, but I hope it will go better than 12's, lol.
Can't believe the work, damn.
For the lexan window's, why not just glue them in using urethane, just like a windshield. You can mount them flush in the recess. Would look nice and clean.

Excellent build, I always appreciate a professional build, especially on an Omni!!!
None of my business, just curious what you did/or dong with the excess parts, some are sought after.
Eg: Dash harness, fuel tank sending unit, floor pans...
Great work!!
Thanks
Randy

I'm hoping for better than 12s myself lol! I'm just keeping my estimates on ETs conservative, due to using factory stock parts. Using urethane sounds like a great idea. I don't have much for spare parts anymore. All I have left are the rear windshield and rear door glass. Didn't think anybody would want my junk. I was not able to move the car to my brothers house due to snow. I blame myself for lack of planning. Good news is we are definitely moving the car this weekend. We cleared out a large spot spot for it, and we are planning to pour a 12x16 ft concrete pad to sit the car on.
I've been tossing up the idea of building a one-piece flip front end for the car. It will be about 3 months before I can do anymore serious structural work to the car(front subframe, suspension, etc), so I'll be tackling that project this weekend. I'll post more pics of the car when we get it over to my brothers house
I"m really looking forward to seeing progress on this project,
Put some work in today in prepping the front sheetmetal. The goal is a one piece hinged front end. I removed most of the sheetmetal brace from the underside of the hood. I'll be using fiberglass to tie all the pieces together. All that is left is to scrape those blobs of glue off the underside of the hood, and finish removing the paint from the joints that will be fiberglassed.
This is really cool, I hope someday I have the skills to even attempt something this cool
