Just from the pictures 1st and 2nd look ok. See if you can get closer and/or more clear pictures because 3rd isn't clear and you never really showed a picture of 4th.

Just from the 1 picture the bearing race looks good. Get it tacked in place and you won't have to worry about it.

Another a523 ready to be behind a TIII.

Added a much needed drain plug while it was apart too.

Finished up the first on the other night, tore down the second one today, went much smoother after doing it once.

Transmission Check over, two a523's for different purposes.

Ready to start re-assembly. Got all the good parts now to make a stout transmission:
Welded the bearing race to shaft.
    Lengel's bronze fork pads. 3 on 1-2 sync, 4 on 3-4 sync, and 2 on 5 sync.
    Turbos unleashed prepped OBX.
All new timken (oem) seals and diff shim kit.
    Added 1/2 npt drain plug.

Rebuilding the tranny and I realize my differential extension housing o ring is shot, find out it's NOS, looks like a normal part, nothing special. So I used an online calculator to size the proper oring for the part. Ordered a few of them, details to come after installation. Here's the online calculator:

It is just a Buna-N -148 oring. Nothing special about it really. I bought a package of 10, willing to sell off my extras. 2 dollars shipped anywhere in the US.
