    Cold engine rough idle and lag

    Hi guys. I'm trying to troubleshoot an issue with my 1991 Dodge Daytona CS

    While the engine is cold, its got a pretty rough idle and doest want to get up and go, threating to stall out while accelerating unless I floor the pedal. When i do that, there is hesitation, and then, aftera few seconds, takes off.

    Once the engine warms up, it runs fine. I've replaced the fuel filter, cleaned the injectors, and replaced the coolant tempature sensor, none of which seems to have made much of a difference. I would suspect a weak fuel pump if it wasn't for the fact it doesn't act up once warm - but I'm not exactly a car guru, so any ideas and help would be appreciated.

    I always thought these things ran poorly by today's standard when they were subjected to well below freezing temperatures. The first things to check are codes, correct cam and ignition timing and vacuum leaks.

    check for evidence of fuel in fuel regulator vacuum line..when the regulator diaphragm starts leaking thats what you get along with tons of fuel in intake manifold and very rich running..runs bad cold but once it warms up and the O2 feedback kicks in it can compensate better

    How long does it run poorly? Mine doesn't run well until the O2 is warmed up enough to function. 1-2 minutes.

    I second checking codes, it will tell you if any of your sensors are staying out of range for too long.
