aem is pretty awesome though, works right out of the box, sensors "seam" to last a while, but dont like race gas to much for an extended period of time. bad thing is a new sensor can be 75% the cost of a new gauge sometimes (depending on where you source them), not sure about the innovative stuff...

They all cost $50 at autozone/orielly's, etc.

Re: New to Me Sundance, 2.5/Mitsu/523

It has been a busy month! Terry delivered the Sundance and the rebuilt 2.5 shortblock on 3/18. What a great guy! The car was filthy from sitting outside for 5 years, and in Oregon, it was covered with green growth, leaves, and it had leaked also, so there was a puddle on the passenger side front. It looked like mushrooms were growing from the carpet, so I harvested them and then pulled the seats out and threw the carpet away. While it was parked on the street, I gave it a good outside washing On a JY trip I discovered a '91 Sundance 2 dr with a good carpet, so that is waiting to go in.

I cleaned out my garage and got the car inside, and today bought a new battery and a couple gallons of Chevron Supreme. I pulled the plugs and checked the oil, all looked OK, so I cranked it over and to my surprise it started up! Nice to know all the electronics are OK. So far I have a FWD Stage 5 cal, a fresh shortblock, and a good MP headgasket to go along with the new battery, and the set of 23 X 7.50 X 15 M&H slicks (that were on back order) showed up on my front porch.

Sounds like my van vs this will be a good race when we are both done. I want to see it run!

Hey! It was good to meet you and see your van out at PIR. I'll try to get it going soon, my last garage session I did a compression test on the engine in the car, and I was happy to see it looked pretty good.(142,141,140, 135) The PO said the turbo was locked up and he thought there was a knock from #4 cylinder. It was so loud in my little garage with an open down pipe, I couldn't tell if it was knocking or not. Maybe I'll get some time Friday to look at it.
