I will be over there tomorrow or Monday but I have been thinking about a new intake design. I was thinking about a 55 gallon drum and some 3" PVC pipe. Mount the 55 gallon drum to the roof and run the pvc pipe to each intake port. It will outflow anything out there!!!!!

Keep an eye on runner length though. Just because the runners are 900% bigger than stock doesnt mean they will flow better! Its a choke point where it hits the head. Comparing it to itself, 4" runners would really be better, as velocity is reduced when it hits the choke point. Glad I could help.

Thanks Asa!!!! Sorry man, I couldn't help it with all the back and forth on your thread. I like the intake. You do some seriously good work. I have always wanted a mill or CNC machine to be able to make parts.

There are quite a few small CNC mills that run off 220V single phase (house style) and weigh less than 1000lbs. You just have to keep an eye out on craigslist and ebay, and get freight shipping planned if its far away. Any of them could make 100% of the BMF intake parts, for example. You could spend less than $5k total and be setup with everything you need including tooling and measuring equipment. Just gotta wait for those deals

I know what you mean. If I wasn't back in school, I would do it. My better half just gives me that look when I start talking about these kinds of things. Lol

Re: My project that nobody else is doing because it is my project!

The seats, shifter, pedal assembly and wiring harness is all out from the front. Typical cracked seam sealer and some rust, but not bad. The rear seam before the rear seat is the worst area other than the pass side floor I patched a couple yrs ago.
Ajakeski...there are 2 pics of the rotisserie attachments on the car. The tubing is pushed in as far as it will go(after squaring the bumper bracket openings) and the rotisserie has a center beam that keeps the two side from pushing away from each other. The wedges take up the slop in the openings and level out the tubing. If it were a heavier chassis, I would prefer to bolt it to the frame, but on the L-body it is rather solid. The tubing is 2" OD.

I assume you're taking care of all the seam sealer under the front fenders and in the cowl right? That is where all my seam sealer was toasted!

Picked up a new compressor wheel for my HX30. The old one apparently got mad at one of it's fins and broke it off near the nut holding the wheel on. It looks so nice.

I haven't run it yet, but it has been bolted to the engine forever.....lol. I'm looking forward to it. I got it for a smoking deal(I still think a construction company is looking for it. Was off a 4 cyl diesel). I know nothing was sucked up into it, it got something jammed into it at some point and broke the fin.

Cool thread, thanks for all the pics Bryan.

Sure John. Glad others enjoy checking out the progress.

Speaking of progress, I pulled the fuel tank, filler pipe and the master cylinder/booster combo out today. The inside of the tank is damn near spotless and the filler tube is in excellent shape. Saves me some $$$$$ that I thought I was going to have spend on a new tank.
Also, started removing the seam sealer. Chiseling off the larger chunks then using a cup wire wheel on an angle grinder works well and cleans the underlying metal at the same time.

How long was the car sitting? Was there fuel in the tank? I ask because mine has been sitting for a while and I don't know if I really need to pull the tank again.
