The Sanding of the bondo is mostly done except on the pass side. I need to add a little at the base of the a-pillar and try to get it to look like the driver's side as much as I can. After glazing putty and a final sand, it gets primer. May call my glass guy to come look at it and see if he says it is ready.

Got the glazing putty done and sanded. Primed the whole area. Windshield is next.

    Jeeze Brian, take it easy!
You've done more work on this car in the last week as you've done in the last 2 years.
At this rate it may be done for Norwalk next August.

Easy killer....something will come up and I won't be able to work on it for months and that timeline won't happen. LOL

Sanded the body around the windshield channel, got it primed, sanded and cleaned then shot the first coat of black on it. Will wet sand it and spray the second coat and see how it comes out.
Hopefully, the windshield will be soon to follow.

Also, the front calipers came in and they are on the car. The front brake lines came loose and I was able to install the new flex lines, too. Forgot the banjo bolts at home so it will be tomorrow before they are in and complete. Not a big deal, it doesn't even have a master cylinder in the chassis yet.

Degreased most of the firewall just so it wasn't slimy when I went to put it back together. Added some more sound deadener to the bottom of the cowl inside the pass compartment and some more to the floor and tunnel. Wanted to pull the HVAC box apart and replace the heater core but it was delayed in shipping. Since I have enough crap apart, I'm waiting until it comes in and do it all at once so I don't loose any thing. After that, the box goes in and possibly the carpet.
In the meantime I might sand down the roof and remove the drip rails.

    Looks good !!!

Curious how the windshield was installed.

Originally they were installed using what I think was called a "butyl mastic strip" ?

I'm told they don't use them anymore and only use urethane but it often looks sloppy.

    Thanks
    Randy

There is no logical reason to call an Engine a motor.

Yeah Randy, it was installed with urethane. The guy was good. He purposely kept it away from the clip posts. He said after I get the clips in, he'll come back on fill it in around the edge of the window to make sure there are no leaks.

No pictures yet, but I am making some headway on removing the drip rails. They are off and I am almost done welding the roof at the door opening above the pass door. If it had not been for the rust and small holes at the rail, I would not have done this yet. Trial by fire on this one. I'm finally getting it dialed in.
