"why you wanna run an external wastegate ?" post.
Seriously though, I would like to see various pics too. I may install an external gate on my CSX.
Subbing to see pics too. I've been wanting to do one for a while but there isn't a lot of room. They wake up stock turbo SRTs a bunch, I'm sure our old 8vs too.
hold on lol

It's amazing what the search function gets you. One thing I haven't seen discussed is the actual location of the external gate. I am severely space limited on top due to my cold air set-up (TIII R/T). Can the gate be mounted to/near the downpipe in the tunnel and the pipe from the turbine housing run to it? Basically opposite of normal with the gate near the turbine housing and the longer pipe exhausts to the downpipe.

Pornography is right!. If I was still in Atlanta, I'd have my car shipped to Brian for the same work of ART! Cali is to far away
If this could only be made and shipped. Id love to have one on one of my Daytona's one day.
What size primaries and lengths are those??
I don't remember the sizing or length. Slowe sells ready-made headers that have flanges cut so the runners, but for this header he shaped the runners where they are welded to the flange. If you can find the post he made, I think he identifies the sizing. Excellent piece for sure, Slowe does great fabrication and welding as you can tell.

I see no reason why you couldn't mount the WG further down for packaging purposes. I think it would be a good idea to make a little bit of bracing of the pipes that hook up to the WG nearby since the external gates have a bit of heft to them, and with a long run of pipe might put some strain on the welded joints with all the engine vibration.
Brent, I posted that because I remembered a few different ideas for 8V and 16V setups being floated when I asked a few years back.
So far the setup I posted that went into my R/T has been working just fine.

I'm surprised the turbo fits there without hitting the master cylinder. Is there any kind of heat shielding there to prevent the turbine housing from cooking everything in that corner? That's something I'm struggling with on positioning my turbo (whenever in the next millennia that might happen).
I've used the "search" on this. Didn't want this post to "blow up" in to an argument for external vs internal set ups. I have one of the TU tube log headers and have some pic of what's been done. I'd love to get one from brian! Trying to stay some what low cost and use what I have or build my own stuff. Just being a pic whore.
