    Not getting full boost

My 89 Shadow 2.5l T1 is only making around 4-5 psi of boost. I just redid most of the vacuum lines could I have mixed something up? I did have a the check valve for the BOV installed backwards could it have damaged the BOV?

However you have that valve oriented, just take it off and blow on the end that would be receiving pressure. If you can push air through it, that may be a culprit. Otherwise, check all of your clamps and ensure everything is tight. A vacuum leak at idle won't be terribly obvious, but you may be able to hear it if it's something other than the BOV.

I believe with the 2.5 TI stuff if you hook it up wrong at the solenoid you'll get minimum attainable boost. The cal is different in how it handles the WG control so you can't use a TII diagram for the WG routing and computer controlled boost.

If you're using computer controlled boost the solenoid that allows pressure to the WG is routed differently between the TII and TI cars. Here are the diagrams which show the difference.

Ok I feel kinda dumb, when I redid some of the vacuum lines I crisscrossed two of them. So the line that runs to the waste gate solenoid was going to manifold vacuum instead of the waste gate. Hopefully I didn't hurt anything and thanks for the info.

You didn't hurting anything. Running direct manifold vacuum will cause minimum attainable boost which is second only to running with the WG flapping in the breeze.
