    BMF KSM development!

There is now a NEW item under heavy development deep inside the labs at Exotic Electron!

    THE BMF KNOCK SENSOR MOUNT!:

    AKA BMF KSM!

Now you can finally put an end to the screaming and waking up in the middle of the night because you had that nightmare again about how you had nowhere to mount the knock sensor with your fantastic BMF INTAKE!!

As described previously in this thread, a bolt on mount has been designed which will allow mounting the knock sensor within a few millimeters of the stock location.

This will require drilling and tapping two holes (10-32 in current prototype) in the head in order to mount...the mount.

The knock sensor then bolts directly into the mount just like stock.

The sensor mounting surface is very near the same height and angle as the BMF head flange injector surfaces.

Clearance for the valve cover is provided just like the BMF head flanges.

The prototype has a through hole for the knock sensor but the production design is planned to have a blind hole.

Its intended to be used with 10-32 socket head cap screws.

The bolt heads would be exposed intentionally so they could be manipulated if need be by a wrench or pliers just in case for some reason you need to remove the mount and you cant get an allen wrench in there or something.

The BMF KSM mounts directly to the head surface, above the intake manifold gasket.

    LETS DISCUSS.
The design is still fluid and I want anyone who is interested in it to have their say as far as how it should be designed.

    I'M ALL EARS!!!
