    WTB: Flex Fuel Sensor

Need a flex fuel sensor for a 93-94 flex fuel spirit/ acclaim. It's mounted at the rear right of the fuel tank with a fuel line going in and one coming out withe a 3 wire pigtail plug, if anyone has one or can help me get one I'd be very thankful!!! I have cash and/ or paypal!!!

    Re: WTB: Flex Fuel Sensor

Is this for a project or to get a flex fuel spirit back on the road. Since the old systems were for M85 instead of E85 like today's flex fuel stuff the old sensor wouldn't be of much use to get a car back on the road. A simple circuit could be made to plug in place of the sensor that would output a normal gasoline signal all the time.

Edit: I looked it up and the standard output for normal gasoline is .5v and 4.5v for 85% methanol, The reference voltage applied to the sensor is 8v so a simple voltage divider circuit could be made with a 15ohm and a 1ohm resistor and that would output .5 volt all the time.

I knew the .5-4.5v info but not the resistors! That's great info and exactly what I needed to know! Thank you so much!!!

From an OLD post on one of the old mailing lists there was a story about those sensors. I remember the guy saying they were on eternal super-secret doubler intergalactic backorder! (or something along those lines).

Ah...here I found it! It is on DDG.
