What is the suspension set-up on the 'Baron? You've talked about it several times...just curious how it's different.

The front is all stock, it appears. The rear has a parts store shock on the right, and an air shock on the left. Apparently, he just aired up the LH shock to like 40psi to keep it from squatting.
Eww....yeah...time for some changes there!
Well, other than the diff (which I plan to swap out on Wednesday), it's staying as-is for the foreseeable future. My father-in-law doesn't want to change anything; and it's hard to argue - the car apparently does go as-is.
My biggest concern is the fuelling. It's running 20psi on a 2-bar map with a clamp and an AFPR; with just a NB O2 meter showing the fuel. So, I figure the bottom end doesn't have long left in it anyway. If there's time, we'll do a compression check on Wed, too.
Gotcha...
Milan Dragway opens this Saturday. Current forecast is for sunny and 55 degrees. Great weather for turbo cars.
New diff goes in today, with any luck. How hard is it to do the diff without dropping the K-Frame? 'Cause I really don't want to.
Impossible as far as i know. You either have to drop the trans or the k-frame. K-frame is not too bad if you unbolt the rack and tie it up so it stays and you dont have to mess with the steering coupler.
Dont push the red button. You hear me?
Ran out of steam before I really got started. Spent too much time on the Daytona Wednesday. At least got the 'Baron in the garage and the front end up.
Looks like it has a drain plug added to the tranny pan, bonus.
I did crawl under and have a look around; it seems to have maybe 100lbs bolted to the front of the bottom rad support. Same as the Daytona. So that's good.
The right rear spring has some sort of aluminum block and bolts thing on it. The air shock is on the left. Don't really like it, but I guess it works OK. Looks terrible with the --- end up in the air...
Sounds like spring clamps.
What the heck is this hacked up deal?
Mr. Lincoln has been evicted...
Gave it a quick spin around the block. Drives like a real car now.
Sent it back home with my father in law. Well probably take it to the track next weekend and see how it runs on the 22" slicks.
Taking it to the track tonight (first time for us to get this car out); if the weather holds...
Nice! What was the deal with the bracket with all the washers?
MinivanRider
Racin's cancelled tonight too much chance of rain.
We'll try again on Sunday.
On the plus side, I now have time to swap the cam gear on the Daytona and maybe get that ready to go out on Sunday, too.
I did my van diff in the van, just undo the front mount and roll the engine, K-member doesn't have to come out IIRC.
That hacked up deal looks like an L body shaft bracket and bearing setup.
