    IAT "stuck"

Ive been using my OTC 2000 to monitor my coolant temp reading the CTS. In doing this I've noticed my IAT is always reading 85 degrees. Doesnt matter if I am parked or going down the freeway. This cant be correct. So what would cause this? Bad sensor or wiring issue? I know it worked at one time because when I installed the FMIC I used it to see how much it helped. Also, what kind of issues would this cause?

    Thanks

To see if its a sensor issue I would verify voltages at the plug and at the engine controller. If there is a difference its likely a wiring issue. If they are the same it would lead me to assume the sensor has gone bad.

I was wondering if 85 is a default setting. I dont think there is a code for the IAT if it goes bad.
