Does anybody know the factory overboost set point for an '85 TI logic module for the Omni GLH/Shelby Charger?

14.7...

Thanks for the reply. It seems the vac/boost gauge is waaay off on this car.
Yea sorry for the dots lol. My reply was too short so I added them so I could reply.

I thought overboost on a TI peaks at 9, settles at 7, and should kill it around 11. Unless they were insane in 85.
^ That is what I am seeing. I set the grainger valve at 10 psi but with the cold weather it has been hitting just a bit higher than usual and hitting the overboost shutdown. It is storing code 45 as well.
The boost gauge needle isn't quite sitting at '0' with the car off anymore though, so I can't say for sure. It's just a cheap mechanical Autometer that is pretty old.
Shutdown and what the boost is set at in the computer are 2 different things. T1 are set at 14.7 along with all other tm because of the 2 bar MAP sensor.

I was referring to the overboost shutdown point. The car in question seems to hit it at about 11 psi. Kinda caught me off guard because all the later TI and TII setups I've had hit OB shutdown at 14.7.
I would try another gauge. It is set at 14.7

Looking like I need a new gauge. I wish the Autometer electronic vac/boost gauges weren't $200+ because I just don't care for the mechanical ones much any more.
I found a chart on thedodgegarage.com and it looks like the MAP voltage at the overboost shutoff point for the '85 TI w/manual trans is 4.54v. Time to hook up the OTC 4000E and see what is really going on.
Why would they set overboost nearly double factory boost settings? Seems thats asking for a warranty repair, not trying to argue here, just curious. I understand its physically limited by the 2 bar map to 14.7 as it cannot "see" past that boost, but I wouldn't think thats its only boost shutdown level.
^ Yeah I know what you mean. I would think most early TI cars would be well into the danger zone as far as knock and running lean well before the 14.7 psi shutdown threshold.
I did find a fairly significant oops on my part yesterday though. I currently have the MAP sensor vacuum line routed directly from the vacuum distribution manifold to the MAP sensor on the LM case. I bypassed the baro solenoid completely. I will be correcting that ASAP by reincorporating the baro solenoid as stock. Given that I am near 5000 ft elevation it could be skewing things.
tell you the truth, I believe t1 log setups are set to overboost at 11psi, at least that's what my charger was at on my boost gauge, I had the same problem with cold nights on that thing. t2 is deff 14.7, not sure about the t1 88 and newer?
