You go, man!
You go, man!
Badass Jeremy, I'd like to come check it out!
My brother got the first startup video on YouTube.

Cool, no problem. I got tomorrow off and am going over to look at that Shadow ES for sale in town, but that's about it.
My brother shut the video off a little too soon....after it warmed up a bit I throttled it up. It feels really responsive and you could hear the turbo zing big time. So far the mods are just 3" exhaust (reinstalled soon), the Mopar Performance Indy intercooler, and a grainger valve boost controller. I'll probably just set it at 12 psi and forget it for a while.
I have a couple of other mods planned, but nothing that's going to make the car a screamer or anything.
Congrats man!
I know that's a good feeling when you hear it fire and stay running!

I took the car for a drive today. After a few short laps around the block making sure the brakes were OK, I took it to the carwash and then about 10 miles out of town so I could get it on the highway. The car did great and it just got better with every mile. I have one more small coolant leak to fix, and then start reinstalling the 3" exhaust.
One thing I'm happy about is how quiet and smooth the engine is. I was afraid it would be noisy, but it is actually really quiet! I haven't put the hammer down yet, but it sure seems to like to rev!
Excellent news!
Enjoy!

Got the car washed up, the exhaust welded back together, and most all of the leaks fixed. Now that the exhaust is a lot quieter, I'm still amazed at how quiet the cylinder head/valvetrain is. I have a refurbished set of Spirit R/T fuel injectors from Mr. Injector in it and you can hear them over anything else.
I'm going to start raising the boost this weekend (via grainger). It's set at 5 psi @ WOT and creeps up to about 8 psi right now with the 3" exhaust. I'm hoping to set it at about 12 psi @ WOT and forget it. It's idling at about 18" in/hg at idle, which is the same as I see on my CSRT and more than I usually see on an old 2.2/2.5 Mopar (I'm at relatively high elevation).
So far, definitely impressed with the Masi 16v. It runs good, is quiet, is responsive and loves to rev. And looks cool AF every time I open the hood.
Did you set the valve lash, or at stock?

Nice work! I thought I was the only one who left doing work to the Shelby Lancer. Really do not see these being talked about anymore.
I've got big plans for my lancer. Maybe not masi swap plans, but big plans nonetheless.
That's awesome to hear! you can check out my build here. Hopefully it can help.

It's supposed to be 100'F on Wednesday and my plan is to go on the first road trip. I got all the coolant leaks fixed
And the car seems to run totally normal coolant temp wise with the new TU aluminum radiator. The entire cooling system is new except for the heater core, which I replaced about 15 years ago. I'm running a new 195' thermostat and new 16 psi radiator cap as well. Coolant is a 50/50 mix of Zerex 'original' green coolant and distilled water. The radiator fan is a new Derale unit and it puts out a LOT of air and seems to cool it right back down when asked.
Going to Devil's Tower which is about 60 miles from here.
Car is still running great; not much to say. I really haven't had to do much aside from add a little coolant after the air worked itself out. I drive it to work and it's been solid.
A local friend of mine got the exhaust manifold done with the IHI-to-T3 adapter. I'm seriously happy with the car as-is though.
Bunch of pigtails I got from Rock Auto to adapt the TC underhood wiring to the Lancer's headlights and turn signals. I didn't want to cut up the Lancer's previous modded SBEC underhood harness for these so thankfully Rock Auto had them. I had considered putting the headlights on relays but I have too much on my plate so hopefully this will work OK and I'll be able to drive the car at night finally.
Next mod is RFL for old times sake. Gotta have a flange welded to the stock intercooler pipe for that.
Upgrade to the relays ASAP for safety's sake when it comes to the headlights. When you get the opportunity, put some E code housings in there. It's AMAZING when you do the conversion.
Yup, I've done the E code housings already. I'll look a little more into it and rewatch your YT video on the H-body relays though.
